Today, architecture plays a critical role in implementing new models, technologies and pathways for student success, and Irene is helping lead the industry into the future.
Having received the Association of Learning Environment’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Irene continues to demonstrate her passion and commitment to excellence by championing the importance of learning environments in K-12 and higher education facilities.
Irene has served as an expert on a vast range of architecture topics from how design can prevent school shootings to how Pokémon Go can be a guide to next generation schools. Most recently, she was quoted as a subject matter expert in the book, “Humanizing the Education Machine,” and serves as a frequent expert resource for top industry trade publications and journals, including School Planning & Management and Commercial Architecture. Irene will also be a contributor to an upcoming book, “Wellbeing and Education.”
When working with her clients, Irene does not rely on industry trends, but rather she helps provide a glimpse into the future, which enables PBK and the school districts she works with to stay one (or more) step ahead.
