K-12: Richard Berry Center

DESCRIPTION:

The Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. multipurpose center was built in response to the District’s critical need for a facility capable of hosting programs and events, such as graduations, sports, professional development programs, academic competitions and other community-related interests.  Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D., Texas’ third largest district, lacked adequate meeting space for its more than 9,000 staff members and ceremonies for large graduating classes. The Berry Center, named in honor of the District’s former Superintendent of Schools, was approved as part of a historic $470.5 million bond referendum. This landmark 320,000-sq.-ft. complex combines five facilities into one.
