The new Griffin Middle School was built on the site of the existing campus in The Colony, Texas. Through the Facilities Assessment process, led by Irene Nigaglioni, it became evident that the existing campus had structural problems too costly to repair, therefore the decision was made to built a new structure. The new facility houses 1,000 students serving grades 6th, 7th and 8th in the Lewsiville Independent School District. The new campus pushes the boundaries of learning with Future Focused learning environments. Moving walls combine classrooms and collaboration spaces while the open plan library acts as a central learning hub.
